I have the highest regard for traditional acupuncture, but in most
cases in the programs that I use, I simply find that the Laser
Acupuncture gets the same results only quicker and is more patient friendly. There are a lot of people out there that would try
acupuncture if it weren't for the "needles".
So in conclusion, I would say if someone wants to experience and use
traditional acupuncture on their condition, then that's great, but if
they prefer to use laser acupuncture, that's also great! I believe this
is a "means to an end" of people being made more aware of alternative
and complementary therapies, whichever way they choose, traditional or
laser.
Whilst I do believe in our national health and western medicines, there
are a lot of short falls, people should not forget that there are
different ways to tackle their problems and it is all too easy to go to
the doctor, take some chemicals and hopefully get better. Where as
complementary and alternative therapists tend to look more holistically
at a problem and root out the cause not just treat the symptoms,
promoting also the use of homeopathic remedies. Acupuncture has been
accepted within the national health system, this is after years of clinical trials and
studies, which is ironic when one thinks about it, as acupuncture was
around nearly 3500 years before our modern medicine!
Unique Smoking Cessation Program - for this very successful
program, I use specific acupuncture points which help to 'curb' the smoking habit, reduce anxiety,
stress, detoxify and raise endorphin levels. The meridian acupuncture points are on the hands, nose and ears.
This takes about
forty-five minutes, whereas using needles in the same points can take
nearly two hours. So if you've tried every which way to quit smoking
without success, don't give up, get rid of smoking, permanently, with
Laser Acupuncture!
De-Stress and Relaxation Program - this program with additional
counselling and remedial therapy is extremely calming. I combine laser
acupuncture points and traditional placement of the laser over tight
and hyper-tense muscles, this releases trigger points and relaxes the
muscles, culminating with a neck, shoulder and back massage with an
electronic massage machine, the 'Thumper".
Mild Depression Program - this uses traditional ACU-points with
the laser, to de-stress and de-tox the body, combined with an increase
in endorphin levels. It has the effect of "well-being" and can be quite
uplifting. If the body feels good, then the mind will feel better! Some
counseling is also involved to help emotional release.
Addictions Program - this is similar to the smoking program
combined with an individual therapy program to help combat obesity,
alcoholism and drug addiction. More intensive counseling is involved,
and a remedial program is set to assist and combat any long-term
withdrawal effects. Combined with a conscious desire to stop, this
program will certainly play a major part in helpinWhat part of the body is treated?
How long will it take?
In
most cases, one 1-hour appointment is all that is needed to overcome a
nicotine addiction. However, if you experience an unmanageable desire
to smoke, a booster treatment is available to you.
How effective is it?
Approximately 72% -80% are successful at quitting smoking with just one session. It all depends on your stress level(s) coming into the program and what you go back to, after the program session!
