A pencil-sized probe emitting a painless low-level laser beam of helium-neon and/or infra-red frequency light energy may be combined with electro-biostimulation which may produce a warm, tingling or pulsating sensation due to increased blood circulation. This light energy source is used to stimulate specific reflex (acupuncture) points on various parts of the body (which may include the face, ears, arms, hands, abdomen and legs) that releases the body’s own natural endorphins, which have a calming effect on the central nervous system. This release of endorphins also replaces the physical dependency on nicotine and helps to alleviate the cravings, anxiety and other withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting smoking.

There are no side effects or discomfort to the patient during or after the treatment. As a precaution, clients wear special protective glasses during the treatment to protect their eyes from the laser light.
